2001 (current) - Master Course in Brief Strategic Therapy – “School of Brief Strategic Therapy”, Arezzo, Italy. The School was founded in 1987 by Giorgio Nardone and Paul Watzlawick and is the official branch in Italy of the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto, Ca.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
1992 to present day: P. Calabi has a private practice of counseling and psychotherapy, for individuals, couples and groups. Her approach is multidimensional and flexible, integrating Gestalt therapy and body-work, with an opening to strategic, problem-oriented methods. Groups are held in the form of seminars and week-end workshops, as well as on a continual basis, over a period of 6 to 12 months. Two on-going groups (in 1997 and 1999) were held in English. Therapy is also provided for French speaking clients. Over this period of time P. Calabi has acquired much experience working particularly with women and has developed a variety of women-group projects, on her own or in partnership with colleagues. Between 1996 and 1999 she collaborated with the "Rome Birth Center", offering individual counseling and group activities for pregnant women and young mothers, both in Italian and in English. Currently she is holding lectures on the theory and practice of Gestalt therapy, as well as demonstration meetings, in collaboration with “ISBE – Istituto di Scienze Bioenergetiche, Onlus”, in Rome.

SUPERVISION
Personal supervision is provided continuously, since 1993, by fellow therapists and teachers.

ASSOCIATIONS

Since 1994 a member of the "Mo.P.I. - Movimento Psicologi Indipendenti", Firenze.
Since 1999 an associate member of the "Coop. Istituto di Bioenergetica e Terapia della Gestalt" of Torino, a member of the "E.A.G.T.-European Association for Gestalt Therapy".
Since 2000 a founding member of the “European Gestalt Institute”, based in Rome and founded by Prof. Barry Simmons.
